REAL MADRID directors have decided on one striker they want at the Bernabeu next season.
Boss Zinedine Zidane decided to send 23-year-old frontman Raul de Tomas out loan to Rayo Vallecano before the start of the season.
And he has shone in the Segunda Division, netting 23 goals for the club to sit second in the top scorers chart.
It’s been enough to catch the eye of parent club Real Madrid with Marca now reporting that club directors have settled on a plan for him to become the fourth striker. Click on the picture below to watch the player that club directors decided to bring back:
He is set to take over the mantle from Borja Mayoral, who is set to leave.
The 21-year-old has made just three La Liga starts for Madrid this season, coming off the bench on a further 10 occasions and netting three goals. But he is now poised to quit to get more first-team football elsewhere – despite insisting his mind isn’t made up. Mayoral said: “It’s foolish to think about my future when there are league matches and a Champions League final to come. “Being at Real Madrid is big, but it’s hard to have minutes. I have to take advantage of them and score goals.
“I have to focus on what is left, spend a good summer and see what happens next year.”
While De Tomas, who is yet to play a game for Real Madrid despite being at the club six years, is set to get a chance, other fringe players are not.
Midfielder Omar Mascarell is likely to get a loan move to Germany while Federico Valverde and Martin Odegaard too could leave on short-term deals.
