OFFICIAL: UEFA makes a decision regarding Sergio Ramos

UEFA says it will not take any action against Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos for a strike against goalkeeper Loris Karius in Saturday’s Champions League final.
A disciplinary rule that allows cases to be opened for improper misconduct not seen by match officials “does not apply in this case,” says UEFA.
Ramos hit Karius’s head with his right elbow in an out-of-court incident when the score was 0-0 at the start of the second half of Madrid’s 3-1 win Saturday.
Television appearances also seemed to indicate that Ramos was pushing Karius out of Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.
“No other protest has been filed,” UEFA said.
Ramos angered fans of Liverpool and the world over for his duel that ended the game of Mohamed Salah due to a wound on his left arm.
An online petition that requires UEFA and FIFA to take retrospective action against Ramos is nearly 500,000 signatures.
